Cornish Quince Jelly

Description

With its smooth, translucent appearance it graces any table, its sweet floral taste delighting your friends & family.
It is great with Brie/Camembert cheese. Serve with lamb or game dishes, or just with toast and butter for a luxury breakfast treat ! You can also heat and use it as a glaze with meat.
The taste and quality was recognised with
a GOLD award from Taste of the West 2025. It also made a coveted 2 star rating with the international Guild of Fine Food with the judges comments “This jelly has a lovely bright shine and a gorgeous burnt orange colour. The set was perfect and although the initial flavour was sweet and fruity there was an excellent tang and acidity that followed, giving this product a complexity the judges loved. The finish is clean and lingering. Delicious”.
It is made the good old fashioned way here on the farm using just the local fruit, Cornish spring water (not mains tap water) and sugar.
It is made in small batches on the hob. Every batch is slightly different in colour and subtleties of taste, as different varieties of quince are used and cooking times vary slightly.

“Just a quick note to say the jar of quince jelly I ordered arrived last week and it is absolutely delicious.
Someone gave me a jar that they’d personally made last year and it really wasn’t very nice… But yours – best preserve I’ve had for ages and ages. Am just about to order the crabapple/quince/medlar set to see if your magic works on medlars as well…”

“A beautiful, crystal clear, vibrant red jelly with a lovely silky medium set. The flavour was sharp and worked well with the level of sweetness. We enjoyed the delicate quince notes and the floral, honeyed taste.”
Not a chutney as such, but excellent with cheese; probably my favourite. Beautiful colour but the flavour is fabulous. My husband likes the one with chilli better but this is the one for me.
