31st March 2026: Our girls are working hard, but we currently have a 2-5 day wait for new orders. Because nature is unpredictable, this timeline fluctuates based on both demand and how many eggs the hens provide each day. Thanks for bearing with us!
Our chickens are ‘Total Freedom’ birds, enjoying our farms fields, trees, shrubbery and fresh streams.
Mixed variety chicken eggs. Currently (Feb 2026), breeds include Splash Blue Maran, White-faced Black Spanish, Speckledy Maran, Devon Bronze, Silver Duckwing Leghorn, Devon Sage, Exchequer Leghorn, Partridge Leghorn, Devon Blue, Bovan’s Brown, Barred Plymouth Rock, Cream Legbar, French Copper Maran, Light Sussex, ‘Oliver Eggers’ (our own hybrid green egg layers) and Welsummer. We have active Roosters in a ratio conducive to maximise fertility.
We make every effort to give you a good range of colours. Colours are subject to availability and change daily. If you have a particular preference or hope, please specify this at checkout.
We can’t pick ‘breeds’ for you as we have no idea which male has fertilised the hen. You may request eggs colour but not breeds.
Latest fertility rate is over 91%. February 2026

Fantastically packaged on arrival (friends can’t believe I received fertilised eggs in the post!!) and they have just hatched yesterday. 6 out of 6 hatched!! SO much better than I expected. I would highly recommend Home Farm eggs.
We have had 8/10 of the eggs successfully hatch, with 1 showing a few cracks. The 10th isn’t yet showing any signs of hatching, but it’s only day 21 today. But a 90% successfully hatch rate is good for me!

Hello, just to let you know my order of mixed eggs arrived all intact and today I’ve hatched 10 out of the 12, fab, thanks , Anwen
I purchased 12 hatching eggs in hopes to maybe get 3/4 eggs that hatch (since delivery does interfere and not all might be fertile). But I am very pleasantly surprised that 10 eggs were fertile and 9 seem to be currently developing well, at day 10, which is phenomenal for eggs that have been delivered. The care took to package the eggs well is also amazing.
Omg, i just received my eggs and i got overwhelmed, so carefully packed, so lovely eggs. None of them cracked. And the delivery so fast. Ordered yesterday, came today, from Cornwall to Birmingham. I am so happy , thank you guys a lot xxx
Eggs came fantastically packaged and got a 90% fertility rate and 70% hatch rate- best I have ever had from shipped eggs! Now have 12 little fluffballs that are all healthy and strong, and in a lovely mix of colours too. The handwritten note, hatching instructions and downloadable incubation guide were a lovely touch. Would absolutely buy again when I need more chooks, thank you Andy & Wendy!
Email from Peter C “Hi, I purchased 8 mixed hen eggs from you and have been delighted with every aspect from the ease of purchase, brilliant communication, first class packaging and delivery and a successful hatch of 7 out of 8 beautiful little chicks as in the attached photo. The remaining egg was fertile but sadly the chick died in the shell, that’s just the nature of incubating eggs at home.

JH emailed to say “Just to let you know of the 4 Legbar eggs, 3 Hatched successfully … I think all 3 are females, let me know what you think! The 4th egg was fertile and fully developed but no hatch as yet – we are now on day 24 so I think it is unlikely it will hatch as the other 3 all hatched together.
Of the Mixed Hybrids… 5 of the 6 hatched! [the 6th egg] again fertile and fully formed but doesn’t look as if it will hatch but I’ll leave it in for another day or so.
Thank you so much, my two teenage children were able to see them hatch and also candle them with me throughout incubation so they were able to see the embryos develop properly every 3 days or so at each stage which opened up the conversations around pro-life, abortion, creation and evolution and all sorts so it’s been a really unique experience! I feel like they are going to score higher marks in their Science GCSE’s now!”

Bought 12 mixed breed eggs for incubator. After candling 1 was infertile, the other 11 have hatched. 11 out of 12 is a great hatch rate, the best I’ve had, thank you.

“I purchased 6 fertile eggs from you 1/07/25 after having a very broody hen.
Not holding out much hope that anything would happen, and much to our surprise we had 3 hatch on Wednesday 23/07. 2 have survived and are super strong and super cute.
My 8 year old son is besotted with “his chicks”.
