Our delicious Crab Apple Jelly is made here on the farm.
It is fabulous with a cream tea – jam 1st naturally 😉!
It also pairs really well with a vintage cheddar, the sour group of cheeses such as blues and brie’s, Yarg and Fetta. Try it as a delicious accompaniment with pork, lamb & game.
We hold regular market stalls and always find this one is a big hit with children – even the most fussy ones!!
We use fruit from our own orchard and our local community.
It is made the good old fashioned way using just the local fruit, Cornish spring water (not mains tap water) and sugar.
It is made in small batches on the hob. Every batch is slightly different in colour and subtleties of taste, as different varieties of crab apple are used and cooking times vary slightly.
